The Company supports the development of supply partners through mutually beneficial educational and mentoring opportunities. BI participates in local and national initiatives, including diversity conferences, seminars, and workshops to stimulate the growth of the diversity program by identifying suitable supplier partnerships.

By sustaining and expanding a world-class supplier base, the value of BI technology and services is enhanced, yielding a direct benefit to our public sector partners and local communities. BI recognizes that supplier diversity is an important goal for many agencies. Accordingly, the BI Supply Chain Department plays an integral role in our mission to continuously create distinctive value for our agency partners, while maintaining the highest quality standards to enhance public safety.

Our tenured Supply Chain Director and Small Business Liaison Officer facilitates the BI Supplier Diversity program and is dedicated to sourcing parts and services for the entire supply chain. BI exceeds internal sourcing goals, while reducing costs and maintaining high quality product standards.

The BI Supplier Diversity program initiatives include:

• Develop and maintain a master bidders’ list of diverse businesses
• Maintain and implement a business strategy, endorsed by our senior leadership, to ensure that diverse businesses are given equal consideration for each subcontracting opportunity
• Attend business opportunity workshops, seminars, and national supplier diversity development council events
• Mentor small and diverse businesses to help them develop and grow
